Pierz Freedom Fest
Every summer, the quiet charm of Central Minnesota gets a jolt of energy as Pierz Freedom Fest rolls into town. What started as a one-day celebration in a rural field has grown into one of the most anticipated music festivals in the region—without losing the hometown warmth that made it special in the first place. In 2025, the festival is stepping into a new era with a change in venue and an expanded two-day lineup that promises more music, more memories, and even more community pride.
Two Days - July 18-19
Set for July 18–19, 2025, this year’s Freedom Fest will take place at the Morrison County Fairgrounds in nearby Little Falls, offering festival-goers upgraded space, easier access, and camping amenities while staying true to its roots. Friday night turns up the volume with a full-on rock show headlined by none other than Night Ranger, bringing hits like “Sister Christian” to life under the summer sky. The stage will also welcome Janelle Kendall’s Perfect Storm, If Nothing Else, and the local favorite Speak Eezy Band to kick things off

Saturday brings a more country flair, with platinum artist Dylan Scott headlining a lineup that includes Sara Evans, The Fabulous Armadillos, and Diamond Back. Whether you’re in cowboy boots or flip-flops, Saturday night promises to be a boot-scootin’ good time with a crowd that spans all ages. Families, friends, and first-timers will find themselves swaying, singing, and dancing together on the grass—and that’s exactly the point.
Weekend Camping
Festivalgoers can enhance their experience by choosing on-site camping (available July 17–20) or upgrading to a VIP pass that includes front-stage viewing, private bathrooms, a shaded lounge, and even a meal on Saturday. Whether you’re there for a day or the full weekend, options are flexible with general admission starting at $35 for Friday and $60 for Saturday—or snag a weekend pass for $80.
Community Support
Freedom Fest is about more than music. It’s about community. All proceeds from the event support the Pierz Area Commercial Club, and nearly every element of the weekend—from the gates to the beer tents—is powered by local volunteers. There’s something magical about watching hundreds of people come together not just for the headliners, but for the hometown.
