A BBQ Wing Competition
The judging criteria at Walkin’ Wings are strict but fair. Judges evaluate wings based on taste, tenderness, creativity, and presentation from 10-2pm. This meticulous judging process ensures that only the most exceptional wings earn top honors. The event also features live music performances by Country Fried Grubers and Diamond Back (at Frosty’s Bar at 8pm) games, free bouncy houses, activities for all ages, and Fireworks at dusk near the High School, making it a family-friendly affair. How to Attend as a Visitor
Being a visitor at the Walkin Wings event can look like this for you and your family;
- Attend the 5k Run. Register here. The race begins at 8:30am in the parking lot of the Pierz School MAC area (north side of the High School on Kamnick street). The run, plus awards, will go until about 10:30.
- Walk and eat wings beginning at 2pm until 6pm on main street. You will need to purchase tickets for wings at the St. Joseph’s church yard first.
- Eat wings and enjoy live music, beer, food and free bouncy houses for the kids in the church yard.
- Evening entertainment Oktoberfest Bash at Frosty’s Bar (214 Main street south). Music by DiamondBack at at 8pm.
- Fireworks at dusk east of the varsity softball fields.
