From Frost to Festivities: What’s Happening in Pierz This Season

As the snow melts and the days grow longer, the Pierz area comes alive with a variety of events that celebrate the warmth and vibrancy of spring and summer. Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening in our community over the next few months:
Pioneer Elementary Spring Musical: "Matilda Jr."
Join us for a delightful performance by the talented students of Pioneer Elementary as they present “Matilda Jr.” on April 3rd and 4th at 6:00 PM. Experience the magic of theater and support our young performers.
Pierz Lions Fish Fry
On Friday, April 4th, head to Frosty’s Bar in Pierz for the annual Pierz Lions Fish Fry. Enjoy a hearty meal featuring deep-fried fish, mac and cheese, potato salad, baked beans, bread, dessert, and a beverage. All proceeds support Pierz Community Education Art Programs. Pierz Area Garage Sale Days & City Clean-Up Day
From May 14th to 17th, explore the Pierz Area Garage Sale Days, a community-wide event perfect for treasure hunting and finding great deals. Coinciding with the sales, the City of Pierz Clean-Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 17th, offering residents an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items responsibly. Pierz Rock, Roll & Stroll Car Show
Mark your calendars for the first Thursdays of June through September (June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, and September 4th) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Main Street in Pierz will host the Rock, Roll & Stroll Car Show, featuring classic cars, local shopping, dining specials, and live music. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy summer evenings with family and friends.
Pierz Freedom Fest
Save the dates for July 18th and 19th as Pierz Freedom Fest returns with an exciting two-day lineup at the Morrison County Fairgrounds in Little Falls. Friday night rocks with performances by Night Ranger, Janelle Kendall’s Perfect Storm, and If Nothing Else. Saturday brings country stars Dylan Scott and Sara Evans to the stage, along with The Fabulous Armadillos. Tickets and camping information are available on thePierz Freedom Fest website.
Kidspace Summer Program
For families with children entering kindergarten through 5th grade, the Kidspace program offers a fun-filled summer with activities and field trips, all housed at Pioneer Elementary. It’s an excellent opportunity for kids to learn, play, and make new friends during the summer months. More details can be found on thePierz Schools website.
